Hi . would probiotics help constipation?

Hi Rosie
Yes there is some data to indicate that probiotics can assist with constipation in that they help to restore and maintain a healthy balance of so-called “normal flora” or “good bacteria” in the gut.
It is a good idea however to ensure that you have an adequate intake of fibre, do a little exercise etc.
If constipation is severe, you may need other agents as well.
