PULLING FUR

My 10 year old cat is blind. He is scratching profusely and pulling his fur out.
Is this a stressful condition brought due to his blindless?
He was prescribed Ovarind tabs by the Vet but was informed that he cannot stay on these forever.
Your advice, alternative treatment?

Kind Regards

Dinky

Dear Dinky

Usually fleas even if you don't see them. Very few vets use Ovarid these days.
