Hallo Cindy
No it only works for inflammation of the skin like eczema. In some cases it can actually cause hyperpigmentation. Hyperpigmentation is best treated by a dermatologist as the wrong treatment or wrong dose of skin lighteners can cause permanent dark scarring. Tretinoin 0.1%, hydroquinone 5%, and dexamethasone 0.1% is usually a good combination that dermatologists prescribe but it will depend on your skin colour and sensitivity.
