Proteien

I have a protein shortage in my body, I was told by the dr. to eat chicken liver &  fishpaste every day. What else can I use to increase this and stay healty without picking up weight. I do eat half cut fat free yogurt and +- 500ml fat free milk per day. I eat chicken &  fish. Will this help? Some people say I must eat the USN Protein bars, what do you think as I see they have +- 5% fat fer bar.
Thanks
God bless

Dear Adele
If you suffer from a protein shortage, I would recommend that you have 2 cups of fat-free yoghurt a day plus your 500 ml of fat-free milk and at least one other serving of high quality protein like a boiled egg or lean meat of fish. I think the dr recommended the chicken livers to also boost your iron intake, because you don't seem to eat any red meat. Other sources of iron include dried fruit like raisins, fortified wheat bread and maize meal and most breakfast cereals. Have a glass of orange or grapefruit juice with your breakfast cereal to help your body absorb the iron. You can certainly use a high-protein bar as mentioned.
