Prostate Taboo

I would just like to know, why is the prostate such a taboo topic? Is it the notorious " finger"  exam that gets men nervous to talk about it? Also do a lot of men go for the exam or not?

The prostate topic has not been a taboo subject for a long time, especially due to the fact that the general public are more health concious and aware that cancers can be prevented and well treated. Men should have their prostates examined, especially after the age of fourty and if certain symptoms occur, like difficulty in urinating, poor urine flow, as well as leakage after urination.

A prostate exam is an essential examination for men to have, as prostate cancer can be managed well if detected early.
