Prolapsed organs

Doctor, how effective is the mesh technique for fixing prolapsed organs please. Is there maybe an alternative?

It depends - they usually use the mesh if they don't have enough tissue to close the gap (like in a hernia)Please give more info?

The doctor said it is my big intestine (dikterm) which is hanging out a bit and he wants to use the mesh to hold it in place.
