Pregnant - thyroid issues

Hi

I just found out i am 5 weeks pregnant with my first baby. I had radio actice ioding in june last year to desroy my thyroid ad am on eltroxin and tertroxin. My thyroid levels have only now stabilised.

2 questions - should i be worried or will baby be fine with the thyroid issue and i have slight pressure in my lower abdomen similiar to period pains but not as bad, is this normal?

If your thyroid function is now normal, the baby should not be affected. There are certain thyroid conditions which can affect the baby even if you are on treatment. Discuss this with your doctor.
Mild cramps in early pregnancy are common.
