Pregnancy when over 50

Good morning
I have been on the 2 month injection for 18 years and for the last 2 years on the 3 month injection. I am turning 50 next month and was wondering if I could stop having the injection and not fall pregnant. Is there a way one can be examined to se if I can slill become pregnant. I don''t want to stop the injection and then fall pregnant.
Thank you.
