Our expert says:
It is possible for your sister to fall pregnant and have a baby and may have a good outcome, as her CD4 count is quite good. However one does not only take into account the CD4 count but also to assess the clinical status, whether the patient is on ARV’s and whether he viral load is undetectable. It would also then be important to ascertain if your sister’s partner is positive or negative as if he is negative then she may require assisted reproductive techniques. It would be advisable for you to seek help from either your gynaecologist or fertility clinic that is closest to you.
