If it is due to an allergy, you can ask your pharmacist for a non-sedating antihistamine with a five day course of Advil cold and flu capsules. If this does not alleviate the post-nasal drip, you might need an extended course of oral antibiotics in combination with cortico-steroids. If you are a smoker, you should stop smoking.
