Post nasal drip

Dear Expert,

Are there certain precausions one can take to prevent post nasal drip? For the last 4 years, I have been suffering from the symptoms of Post Nasal Drip, which more often than not, leads to colds and flu.

It is also a very uncomfortable symptom to live as you can imagine.

Thanx a mill.

Yours,

Arcangel.

Dear Arcangel
a Post nasal drip is often due to allergic rhinitis. Your doctor will be able to test whether you have allergies by doing an IGE blood test. It may help to use something like Loratidine 1 at night and Beclate nosedrops twice a day for at least a month. Symptoms will take a week or two to start improving.
