Post Herpetic Neuralgia

I have constant pain from PHN after an attack of Shingles ( I am only 48!).Please can you advise the latest treatments for this and what I can take/apply on skin for this pain. I am also on Arimidex as had hormone-positive breast cancer. Don''t want anything that will interfere with the BC treatment. Thx!

Hallo BJ
There are various treatments but the most common ones used are tricyclic antidepressants like Tryptanol or anti-epileptics like Gabapentin.
These medications work because it changes the way your brain perceives pain.
