Possible Nerve Entrapment

I have been suffering with intermittent burning pain in my pelvis for over 4 years (which is worse when sitting for long periods). My doctors says I should go for a CT scan but I am wondering if this would be able to pick up a possible nerve entrapment problem. Which option is best: CT, MRI, nerve conduction studies or what?

This does not sound like a gynae problem. You should see a neurologist or orthopaedic surgeon.
