polyps in intestine

Hi. I had polyps removed from my colon yesterday. They have been sent for testing, since I' ve had rather severe crohns for about 6 1/2 years now. What is the likelihood of them being malignant? If they are, what can be done? I' m just in a bit of a panic... as for other factors, I' m a 30 yr old white female, non smoker, no known family history of colon cancer but a grandfather who passed away from bone marrow cancer.

Dear Anonymous
Not all polyps are dangerous and sending them away for testing is just a precautionary measure.
