Thank you so much for the reply. If we do manage to get him help with a private therapist what would you suggest, a psyciatrist or a psycologist and would he need medication? thanks

An excellent question that has no easy answer - one can't guess whether he would need medication - it depends on the diagnosis. On the whole, someone behaving like that is most likely to need psychotherapy ; and a psychologist should be able to recognize some of the less common conditions in which medication might also be helpful
