please help!

Dr, please help either with advice or who to go see. I am 50, female, CA Thyroid 1993, metastized twice, raised gastrin levels(more then 1000) low vitb12 levels and more problems.
My problem: pain+++ behind R upper thigh with " hot water"  running through leg to my toes. Leg feels like a " log"  at night. No Rx helped! Rizotomy, facet blocks x 2, anti epileptic Rx! Also +++ pain in L arm, down to fingers. " Crackling"  sound in my neck (L side) when I make certain movements.

My son: now 25 , had lobectomy (thyroid) last year august. Release of ulnar nerve(L arm) March last year. Since after his lobectomy, same pain down his right leg!!!!!!!!!! We are so depressed, because no Rx relieves the pain. My son was on Lyrica for 4 months, nill response.
Many days we feel that amputation will be better because it is hell to live with this kind of pain.
I am trying to get my son to a pain clinic , I will wait, he is still young. It affects our daily living. Please help doc!

i agree that your son ( and you as well ) should be seen by a pain specialist at a pain clinic. Here in Cape Town we have dr Milton Raff who runs an excellent pain clinic at Groote Schuur. it would be worth seeking his opinion
