Placent review

At my 22 week Scan I was told that I have an early low placent. (I think it may be because of my smoking, and I found that my mom had placental issues during both her pregnancies, can it be hereditary?)

We were told not to have any intercouse, or for me to do any physically demanding activities. I have a placent review in 2 weeks time, if we are told that intercourse is allowed, is it safe to use lubrication?
