Pinched nerve scan

I would like to know which scan is better for showing up stuff like pinched nerves, nerves entrapment etc.
a CT or MRI scan? I have to make a 20% co-payment so I don' t want the wrong option.

Dear Sharon
It will depend on where the problem is - in a arm or a leg a CT may be more effective and in the back a MRI may be more effective. Usually the orthopedic surgeon would choose the one that will give him the most information to treat the problem.
