Piles/ anal bleeding

Dear Dr, I had 2 pile operations of which the last was about 12 years ago. I developed 2 small piles again. When it started bleeding not just when passing stools but even just wen I had a wind, or wiping down there,I went to a specialist. He did a colonoscopy but found no polyps or anything funny. Gave some suppositries for a while. I went back to him as bleeding still didnt stop. Im taking medication to keep stools soft but no improvement. Its now longer than about 3 months and still the same. Im really getting worried. What do you suggest?

Hallo Worried
You have treated this with all the possible medications - stool softeners, and local suppositories. Piles are actually a type of varicose vein around the anus, so if medication does not help, it needs to be treated surgically. These days there are more options than traditional hemorroidectomy operations than 12 years ago e.g. laser treatments, so discuss with your surgeon.
