Photo Therapy

Hi , what is your view for photodynamic therapy ? I am 27 and want to have it done to improve fine lines and the texture of my skin

Hi Blondie, thank you for the question.

Photodynamic therapy (PDT) has shown through studies and in particular the Omnilux (the gold standard for PDT) that one can expect significant improvement when combining the red light (Omnilux Revive 633nm) and the near infrared light (Omnilux Plus 830nm). Other PDT machines do exist but the power output and the use of the wavelengths usually vary. Furthermore, very few other PDT machines use the 830nm wavelength. To achieve optimal results one needs to receive the treatment at least twice weekly for 4 weeks. Optimal results will be observed 3 months after your last treatment.
