Phlegm producing foods

Hi Cyberdoc

Is it actually true that dairy products stimulate or cause phlegm production?

I have had asthma and sinus all my life.

Some of the best times health-wise have been I do eat dairy but have been horrendously ill this year and have been told to avoid them.

I just wonder if it is a myth or based on actual scientific fact?

Tx

Dairy products will not cause phlegm when ingested by people who is not allergic to it. It will however thicken existing phlegm and mucus. Milk products will produce phlegm and mucus in people who is allergic to it.
