PERSIAN CAT LOSING WEIGHT

Please help! My persian female neutered cat, 8 years old, has since about June last year been losing weight. She eats well (Hills Science and/or Royal Canine for Persians) and drinks water. June last year she had a battery of tests (at the vet) that all came up negative. I changed her food and it helped for a few months (she didn''t lose anymore weight). However, now the same thing is happening and after another battery of tests (everything from urine, stools to blood tests/kidneys/liver and everything - all at the vet) the tests once again come up negative (absolutely nothing wrong). But there must be something big wrong with her. She is so thin and her eyes have lost their soul. Has anyone perhaps had the same experience with their persian cat - I am at my wits end and am desperate. I don''t know what to do. I don''t want her to suffer and she can''t tell me how she feels.
