Periods after menopause

I started having my period again after not having it for 17 yrs, i " was"  menopausal, but am not using anyhting, as i dont believe in it, i dont have any more hot flushes, or the bad temper, so i feel 100% great. but for the periods, went for blood tests and a scan, all is fine. so why does my Dr insist i go to a Gynae? Sorry, i dont have medical aid and this has already cost me a lot.
