periods after birth

hi doc.it has been 6 months now that i gave birth i had my period for a month after birth and thereafter it stoped. i am breastfeeding my baby as well as formula milk.is it normal that my cylce did not return to normal after 6 months.please help not sure if i need to see a doctor

As far as I know you don't get your periods at all when you are breastfeeding. My SIL only got her periods after she stopped breastfeeding.
