Periods

My wife bleeds very heavily when she has her periods. Why is this? Can anything be done to ease this discomfort.

Sometimes it is normal to bleed quite heavily , but there are conditions such as fbroids which can cause excessive bleeding. She should see a gynaecologist for an examination.
