period pains

hi there doc
i have been getting these pains on my womb-they feel like period pains wheras im not on periods.i lways get period pains 2-3 days before my periods but this one is continual and it comes and goes away and sometimes it comes and pin me for a few secs and goes away.I am sure i am not pregnant and i ma scared.could it be i have some kind of infection and is this normal??
