period + breastfeeding

Afternoon!
I wonder if you could give me a little advice please: I have been breastfeeding for the last 10 months and about 2.5 weeks ago I swapped the 11pm feed to formula. 2 days later (31 October), my period resumed (what a pity!), but the problem is that it still hasn' t stopped. It' s not heavy and seems to alternate between red blood and dried brown blood. But it' s still ongoing... Shoudl I go and get it checked out? I am in no pain and am happily feeding for the other feeds.
Many thanks for your help!
Regards
Jessica
