Period after Mirena removal

Hi Gynaedoc

I had my mirena removed on the 3rd Feb. I bled a little when it was removed - but this stopped by about the 6th or 7th. I am now anxiously awaiting my period. Any idea on how long it should take to appear? When should I get concerned about it not appearing? I had no periods whatsoever on the mirena - and that has been for the last 8 years.
I have done a HPT - but that is negative.

Thank you
Fey

As the Mirena thins the womb lining , it could take a few months for this to regenerate and for you to have periods.
