perimenopause

Hi GD

What kind of tests are conducted to establish if a woman is going thru early menopause, and is it a regular gynae who would do these tests? I am 38 and experiencing all the so-called symptoms pf perimenopause and am devastated at the possibility this might really be it happening. I am still trying to meet someone and have children.

You would have a blood test to check FSH, LH and oestrogen. A gynaecologist would arrange this.
