In the presence of polycystic ovarian syndrome, which normally results in an endogenously high LH level the ovulation predictor kits do not work as well. They can give you a higher falsely positive and a higher falsely negative rate. Your better option in predicting when ovulation is taking place is doing serial ultrasound measurements of the follicle growth.
