Patella Realignment

How much pain can be expected post-op? I have been discharged after three nights and I still have huge amount of pain and can hardly put any weight on my operated leg. Also I am suppose to bend it ti 45 degrees, but I cannot raise my leg without assisting it with my hands, and it is extremely painfull.
