pancreatitis

I may have pancreatitis- final test results still be come in- but it is worrying me. What could have caused this if all my normal bloods (glucose, cholesterol) are normal? This seemed to start after a dose of flu. Is this possible? Is it possible that it could be pancreatic cancer- how would i know?
