Hallo Darren
Heel pain is common in active people, and is caused by inflammation in the fibrous tissue of the sole of the foot. We usually treat with anti-inflammatories ( like voltaren), physiotherapy or a shoe insert made by a biokineticist/podiatrist. It is difficult to get rid of :-( and one of the important treatments is resting the foot.
