Pain / Stiffness in upper left arm

Pain / Stiffness in left upper arm for about a week. Can''t seem to lift arm higher than shoulder height. Could this be a sign of a blood clot or something serious?

This is an indication of a rotator cuff injury. These are the muscles that elevates the arm above 90 degrees. You should consult your doctor for an examination and a possible injection to alleviate the inflammation, causing the stiffness and pain.

It is also possible that there is a small tear in a tendon in your shoulder, which might need to be corrected surgically. Your doctor will run the necessary tests, in order to make a proper diagnosis.
