Pain on side of leg

I had surgery last week Wed to remove galbladder - laproscopic. Since yesterday (Sunday) I am experiencing a sharp pain on the outside of my right leg(upper leg) if I am lying to long? What could be the reason?

Hallo Morne
this could be a referred pain from a nerve being pinched in your back, especially if you feel needles and pins down your leg. Or it could be due to the pain injection you had in your buttocks if you had one - Voltaren sometimes irritates the nerve running down your leg.
