Carpal tunnel syndrome is caused due to pressure on the medial nerve in the wrist. A pinched nerve in the cervical spine will cause a radiating pain down the arm. Consult your doctor for tests to determine if you have carpal tunnel syndrome. He/she will also be able to determine other possible causes like nerve pain due to nerve impinchment in the cervical spine.
