Ovulation

Good day, I am a bit confused and need help please. We are at the moment trying to have a baby. Some doctors or experts say that ovulation starts 10 days from first day of period and others say 14 days. Can you please help as to the correct amount of days, when ovulation starts.
Thank you kindly.

Hi Michelle,
Just taught i could help,
An egg lives for up to 24 hours and is released 12 to 16 days before the next period. Sperm can live for up to seven days. This means if you have sex seven days before you ovulate (release an egg), you could get pregnant.
Keep well!
