CAN ANYONE TELL ME IF ITS TRUE THAT IF U EARN 149.000 OR MORE A YEAR U DO NOT GET COMPENSATED FOR THE OVERTIME, WEEKENDS AND PUBLIC HOLIDAYS YOU ARE REQUIRED TO WORK. IF THIS IS NOT STATED IN YOUR CONTRACT OF EMPLOYMENT DOES THIS STILL STAND??

RE: OVERTIME & WEEKENDS WORKED, NO COMPENSATION

If you earn in excess of R149,000 you do not receive any overtime in terms of the Basic Conditions of Employment Act. You might have a claim for the overtime work in terms of civil law or in terms of contract law.
