Ovaries with small follicles

Good day doc

I just did CT-Scan of the Abdomen and Pelvis due to persistent abdominal pain 11 months after delivery. The results on the pelvis reads normal, but one point says: Both ovaries are well demostrated with small follicles noted. What could this explain?

I am 33 years old, have two healthy sons (3years, and 11 months) both conceived unplanned and without problems. Both were delivered by C-Section.

Thank you

Dear MistyT

It is normal for all ovaries to have small follicles. These follicles contain oocytes, which will eventually start growing with every menstrual period. So having small follicles is totally normal.
