Ostheoarthritis in knee - cartilage damage

Can Cartiage damage in the knee be repaired or can the cartilage be built up againwith medication ie methotraxate?

Cartilage cannot be built up again. Methotrexate should only be used for Rheumatoid arthritis under the supervision of a rheumatologist. You may try Chondroitin preparations for the cartilage. One good one is Dona which you can buy over the counter.
