Osteoeze-Jack Russel

Is it safe to give a 13 year old Jack Russel 1/4 of a Osteo eze pill daily. These are human pills. He suffers from Atheritist and is suffering quite a bit. My parents are giving this to him saying that their vet adviced it? Just want to double check

Should be quite safe. But, there are also dog-arthritis meds, and maybe the dog could do with an anti-inflammatory, which can significantly improve the quality of life. Your vet can prescribe these.

Do a bit of googling on two local products called Flex-O-Joint and Flex-C-Joint (mnfr by Dametex). Can be ordered by mail, or bought at horse-shops, or rather, shops stocking horse stuff. A little of these (combined) in the dog' s food goes a long way.

The two key ingredients are glucosamine, and chondroitin.
