My man (50) is gediagnoseer met bg siekte en het ' n kruiwa vol pille gekry wat hy nou moet neem. o.a het hy Trepilene gekry omdat hy snags baie sleg slaap. Dit wil vir my lyk asof hy nou nog slegter slaap en hoewel die GP hom nou slaappille gegee het slaap hy nog steeds byna net 3 - 4 per nag. Na die aanvanklike behandeling met kortisoon vir ' n week is die pyn nou ook weer baie erg. Enige raad is welkom.

Kortisoon veroorsaak slaaploosheid maar wat dink jy hou hom wakker - die pyn? Trepilene herstel gewoonlik mens se slaappatroon en is ook my eerste keuse maar as dit plus slaap pille nie werk nie, moet jou dokter dit weet - hy moet dalk sterker pynpille gee. Fisioterapie mag help saam met die medikasie wat hy gebruik.
