Generally most people who eat a western diet and use plant oils like sunflower or olive oil do not have a deficiency of omega-6 (so they don't need to take Evening Primrose oil). However, most of our diets are deficient in omega-3, so if you can use salmon oil capsules it is a good idea. The flaxseed oil contains ALA which your body will convert to omega-3, but it is better for the body to rather ingest the omega-3 for the word go (i.e. the salmon oil capsules).
