Dear Fowzia
Dipping wholewheat bread with its high fibre content into a small quantity of olive oil (1 teaspoon which provides 45 kcal or 180 kJ will satisfy hunger. In addition the oil will lower the GI of the bread. If you however start using large quantities of oil then this could lead to weight gain. 1 tablespoon of olive oil (15 ml) contains 135 kcal or 540 kJ, which can start adding up.
