Mens moet onthou dat dit nie net die energie is wat jy tydens oefening verbrand wat lei tot gewigsverlies nie. As jy ten minste 30 min aërobiese oefening elke dag doen, dan sal dit jou basiese metaboliese spoed vir etlike ure na oefening ook verhoog en dit dra ook by tot gewigsverlies. Ek kan dus nie vir jou sê dat jy X kJ/dag moet verbrand nie, maar deskundiges is dit eens dat as mense 30 of meer minute per dag aërobiese oefening doen (swem, touspring, hardloop, roei, fietsry of flink en vinnig stap), en dit kombineer met 'n lae-energie dieet, dat hulle dan ten minste 0,5-1 kg per week aan gewig sal verloor.
