numb little finger

hi, for the last week, my little finger on my left hand, is numb. the best i can describe it is as needles and pins - not very severe though, but i am very aware of the numbness. what can be the cause of this?

This sensation is due to impinchment of the nerve supplying the pinky of sensation. Consult your doctor for an examination to establish where the origin of the nerve impinchment is. Swelling around the wrist or a recent injury to your wrist can be a possible cause.
