Notice Period

Good Day

What happens if you have been employed by an organisation for less then a year and u get another job. how much notice must u give? My boss is of the opinion that i need to finish the year. is that true. My collegue worked for 3 yrs does she need to give a months notice? Please advise.

You have worked for more that 4 weeks and less than one year   you may give two weeks notice. If you worked for more than one year you must give four weeks notice. Notice can only be reduced by agreement. He cannot force you to work more that is expected.

hey there ,
usually it is 1 month

and your boss has not good opinion i have no idea where he got this informations from most probably he made it up,nobody can force you to work for any company it is ur life and ur choice....but iam sure expert will give you proper by the law opinion....
