Neuro Fibrosis

Hi Doc,

My nephew has these small lumps on his back, when he was still a baby we though it was just a skin pigmentation now that he is 2years old there are small lumps growing. According to the doctor its Neuro Fibrosis and that there is no cure for it. Should we be alarmed?Can you tell us more about this disease and how to care for it?

Neurofibromatois is a tumor disorder. It is caused by malfunction of a gene on chromosone 17, responsible for the control of cell division and causes non-cancerous lumps.
