Neostrata glycolic peels

Dear Dr,
How far apart should one have glycolic peels?
Also, after such a peel, how long should one wait before applying any creams?

Hi Anne, thank you for the question.

Glycolic acid peel regimes will vary according to the type or brand used, the specific indications and what end result would like to be achieved.
As a general rule one can use these peels safely on a monthly basis but you should always remember to apply a good SPF (50 or higher that contains zinc oxide and/or titanium dioxide). Most creams are safe to use almost immediately after the treatment but I would avoid products such as toners and granular exfoliators.
