Naughty 6m old miniature schnauzer

Hi All

I would greatly appreciate some advice regarding my mini schnauzer. She is now 6 months old and has been an absolute honey until last week, she has now become a terror. Eating everything she can find, housetraining has gone out the window, refusing to eat her actual food out her bowl the list goes on. Is this just a stage, or am I doing something fundamentally wrong as her owner?

Any advice or help would be wonderful.

Thanks

Dear Sue

She is enetring her teenage years and this behaviour can continue for a while. Lots of toys, walks and things that keep her brain busy. Very intelligent dogs that need a bit of input.

I have a 4 mnth old Miniature Schnauzer who absolutely loves going into the fish pond (a swallow pond) and insists on running through the house leaving dirty footmarks behind.
What is your advice?
I am looking forward to your reply.

Its a stage. Many people find their dogs are really great at training until they reach 6 months, then they simply won' t co-operate. Just work through it, don' t buy into the power struggle. If she hasn' t been steralised it could be hormones, but don' t steralise her until the behaviour has settled down.
